In my public speaking class, all the groups gave their presentations, and it was interesting to hear about so many different topics that connect to real life. It was nice to see how everyone’s work came together after all the time we spent preparing, and it really showed how each group understood their subject in their own way.  Group 1 talked about healthcare and the economy, and they explained how both are connected and affect people on many levels. They mentioned how the cost of healthcare impacts families and the country overall, and how when healthcare is too expensive, it can cause stress and problems not just for individuals but for the economy too. They also touched on the idea of access to healthcare, showing that some people can get better treatment than others depending on their location or income. They brought up how healthcare jobs themselves influence the economy because hospitals and clinics employ a lot of people, and when healthcare grows, so does job opportunity. ...

Group 1: Healthcare and the Economy Group 1’s presentation on healthcare and the economy was clear and informative. I liked how they began by outlining what they would cover, which helped the audience follow along easily. Their group showed a strong understanding of how healthcare impacts people’s financial situations and the country’s economy as a whole. They used relatable examples, such as medical debt and the cost of emergency care, to show how serious the issue is for families. One thing that stood out was how they connected personal experiences with real data, which made their information feel both emotional and realistic. However, a few members could work on making more eye contact and speaking louder to connect better with the audience. I also think adding interviews or surveys would have made their project more complete and given it a real-world perspective. Overall, they presented valuable information and handled their topic with confidence and care. Group 2: Environ...

Group 1: Healthcare and the Economy Group 1 delivered a solid presentation on healthcare and its connection to the economy. I really liked that they opened with a table of contents—it gave a clear preview of their main points and set an organized tone from the start. It helped the audience know what direction the presentation would take and made the flow easier to follow. Although the group leader began speaking very softly, her volume and confidence noticeably improved as she continued. Some members looked less sure of themselves this time, often staring at the slides instead of interacting with the audience. Still, the group made the topic relatable by including personal examples, especially when discussing Medicaid and how unexpected emergencies can cause financial hardship for people without coverage. One presenter used quotes effectively and linked them smoothly to her talking points, which strengthened her section. Another member shared her own experiences with both public...

Group 1 One thing that really stood out to me about the first group’s presentation was how well-prepared they seemed. From the very beginning, it was clear that they had taken the time to study their material and actually understood what they were talking about. You could tell they had done their research and weren’t just repeating information from their slides. Even though a few of them looked nervous—which is completely normal when speaking in front of a class—they still managed to stay focused and confident. That showed me that being prepared really makes a big difference, because even when you’re anxious, knowing your topic gives you the confidence to keep going. What I liked most about their presentation was how natural they sounded. They didn’t just stand there and read word-for-word off their papers or slides. Instead, they explained things in their own words, which made the information much easier to understand. It also made the audience feel more connected because it didn’t so...

Group One's presentation on healthcare and the economy was a standout in terms of effort and individual delivery. Each member of the group presented their part confidently, and it was clear that they had put in a lot of time and effort into researching their respective topics. Even though some of them seemed a bit nervous particularly at the start of their sections the passion for their subject matter and the hard work they had put into preparing their content really shone through. It was easy to see that they genuinely cared about the intersection of healthcare and the economy, and they did their best to communicate this in an engaging way. What I admired most about Group One was their ability to stay on track despite the nerves. For some presenters, it’s easy to lose focus when you're feeling anxious, but each group member did a great job of staying composed. The transitions between speakers, though perhaps a little abrupt, didn’t detract too much from the flow of the ove...

Group 1 The first group’s presentation on  Healthcare and the Economy  was both informative and well-structured. I appreciated how they connected rising healthcare costs to larger economic consequences, such as labor shortages and increased national debt. Their use of statistics, like the percentage of GDP spent on healthcare, made their argument convincing and grounded in real data. One of the strongest aspects of their presentation was the comparison between the U.S. healthcare system and those of other developed countries. This global perspective helped me better understand how economic stability and public health go hand in hand. The group also did a great job explaining how preventative care could save both lives and money over time. However, I think they could have improved by offering more personal or real-world examples—perhaps patient stories or case studies—to make the issue more relatable. The slides were visually appealing, with clear graphs and minimal text,...

Group 1: Healthcare and Economy Group 1 did a good job presenting their topic on healthcare and the economy, and I especially liked how they started off with a table of contents. It was like a preview of what they were going to show, and it made the presentation look very organized from the beginning. It also helped the audience understand the flow and what to expect next. The group manager started speaking too low at first, but I noticed that she improved toward the end and projected her voice more clearly. However, some memb ers of the group seemed less confident this time and looked down at their slides instead of engaging with the audience. One of the things they did well was making the topic personal. They gave real examples of how Medicaid is important and talked about how people can end up in debt after emergencies when they don’t have it. That connection made their presentation more relatable. One of the girls also used quotes in her part and connected them perfectly to what sh...
